“When I think of something amazing, I want to make it. Especially when I see things in nature. I love nature.”- Éowynn

Éowynn is a grade 4 student in the Brandon School Division and has taken many art classes at the AGSM. Her world opens up when she makes art, giving her an outlet for creative expression that sometimes words can’t convey. Her love of nature and animals inspire her. Éowynn hopes that, “people will see my art and love nature more. Love animals and creatures more. I hope there is more imagination for people.” The AGSM is her “safe place” where she feels happiest; sitting with a pencil and book in the gallery is a favourite past time.

Artist Statement

I like art because it is fun and it helps me. It makes me happy to use my imagination. When I think of something amazing, I want to make it. Especially when I see things in nature. I love nature. I hope people see my art and love nature more. Love animals and creatures more. I hope there is more imagination for people. Doing art, when I am thinking of something, is more important than breakfast, or school or anything! I want to do it all the time.
