Young & Creative features work from a variety of young artists, some who are new to the AGSM and others who grew up taking AGSM studio classes throughout their childhood including students who are finding unique ways to create during their post-secondary studies.

View artworks by Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School students and youth enrolled in AGSM studio after-school programs & summer art classes; discover paintings by Chloé Janse van Rensburg, who is completing a degree in Microbiology, incorporating her love of art with her passion for science and helping others through her research studies. Katie Dornn shares a collection of works that take us through her journey of embracing art as a therapeutic practice to benefit her health. Recent high school graduate Angelica Campbell continues to create while she pursues her medical studies and passes on her creative knowledge to youth in the gallery’s summer programs, where she worked as an instructor assistant. Garnet Ehinger Wood, Fisher Workman, Sophia, Emily, & Logan Seitter, and Aria & Juliet Grant, part of a new generation of the Westman arts community, share their recent creative explorations along with many more young artists! This exhibition offers a sampling of the rich, creative talent of youth in the region.

RAFFLE PRIZE, ENTER TO WIN
A work of art by Lory George, who helped nominate students in need for past AGSM young scholarships during her career in Brandon. In her recent retirement, Lory has pursued her own love of creating, and has generously donated a magical, playful fairy house to be raffled off. All funds raised will go towards future AGSM art class scholarships and raffle tickets can be purchased at the AGSM front desk.
